Emporia Fire Department/EMS is a combination department providing EMS/Rescue services to all of Lyon County (860 sq miles) and Fire Protection for 210 sq miles. There are 53 full time members and 14 volunteers responding from two stations. The Department protects an estimated 28,000 people.
