Garnett Fire Department

The City of Garnett is the county seat in Anderson County and has a population of approximately 3,200 residents and has a total area of 3.20 square miles. Garnett Fire Department provides fire and rescue services to the citizens of Garnett. Garnett Fire Department responds to approximately 100 calls per year and has 22 paid per call volunteers. The city station is near the town square and was constructed in 1999.  The department is part of the county wide water rescue team. Garnett has three city owned lakes totaling over 5,300 acre-feet of water. Garnett city firefighters also staff the Anderson County - Garnett station for rural calls
