Boeing Fire Department started in 1943. The Boeing Fire Department helped neighboring Departments throughout its history. These are some notable assist: a large gasoline tanker fire in Andale, KS (1950's), a large fuel tanker crash in Wichita (June 1984), and a large solvents tank fire in Valley Center (July 2007). They assisted with their specialized equipment and ARFF apparatus. Sedgwick County Fire Department took over emergency response to the facility on December 15th, 2014.
