Built in 1983 as OPFD Fire Station 3. In 1990 the OPFD moved the crew and units to the former Stanly Fire Department building which is now Station 45. The current Station 3 was built in 2001. As of January 1, 2020 it is now a shared Station with OPFD and OPPD Traffic Division. A paramedic and firefighter/EMT respond in a Squad.
