Cowley County Fire District #2 provides fire protection and medical first response to northern Cowley County and portions of southern Butler County. Twenty volunteers responds from one station to an average around 75-100 alarms a year. They respond with 2 engines, 5 wildland firefighting units, 1 water tender, and 1 medical support vehicle.
