"The Sherman County Rural Fire Department that responds out of the Goodland fire station (1006 Center St.) consists of 25 members. Out of the 25 members, the department consists of 1 Fire Cheif, 1 Assistant Fire Chief, 2 Captains, 2 Lieutenants, and 19 firefighters. The Department trains along side the City of Goodland Fire Department every first and third Tuesday of the month. The departments Mission is to Serve, Care, and Support.
